UPDATE: Notasulga man arrested for robbery first degree

UPDATE, March 8, 2024

Auburn, Ala. - On March 6, 2024, Auburn Police, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force, arrested Derrick Alexander Thomas Jr., age 22, from Auburn, AL on a felony warrant charging him with robbery first degree.

During the investigation following the robbery that occurred on Dec. 13, 2023, Derrick Alexander Thomas Jr. was developed as a suspect, in addition to Jacoreyious Tyrek Walker, who was arrested on Dec. 14, 2023.

A warrant for Thomas’ arrest was obtained, and he was located by Auburn Police and U.S. Marshals task force members on March 6, 2024. Thomas was arrested in obedience to the warrant and transported to the Lee County Jail to be held on no bond pending judicial review.

Auburn, Ala. - On Dec. 15, 2023, Auburn Police arrested Jacoreyious Tyrek Walker, age 23, from Notasulga, AL on a felony warrant charging him with robbery first degree.

The arrest stems from Auburn Police responding to a robbery call near the 500 block of Chadwick Lane on Dec. 14. Officers met with a victim that reported encountering multiple subjects, one of whom threatened the victim with a firearm and took property from the victim.

Jacoreyious Tyrek Walker was developed as a suspect, and after further investigation, an arrest warrant was obtained. Walker was located by police on Dec. 15 and arrested in obedience to the warrant.

Walker was transported to the Lee County Jail and is currently held without bond pending further judicial review.
